Hermes - The messenger god

The youngest son of Zeus, Hermes became the messenger of the gods due to his speed and reliability. He was wearing winged shoes, and so Hermes could fly and travel fast. Hermes was the protector of travelers and merchants. He is credited with the creation of boxing and gymnastics.
